The UPLISSA held the first ever LIS Congress in the Philippines on February 28, 2009 at the UP College of Education Auditorium. Some topics discussed were marketing strategies on school children libraries, blogging in libraries, overview of archives, IT in public libraries, children’s literature in libraries, and licensure of librarians.
