Every year the University of the Philippines Library and Information Science Students’ Association (UPLISSA) conduct its photo shoot with a specific theme. In its 48th year the themes that were chosen are: Mafia (black and white formal attire with weapons as props), summer colors for org committees, and UPLISSA’s official color, green.

The event was attended by members and applicants who each had their solo shots, org-committee shot, and group shot. The main photographers were UPLISSA’s adviser, Sir Igor Cabbab and resident member Francess Lowe. SLIS rooms 3 and 4 were both used as dressing and an improvised studio for the shoot. Props and other equipments were provided by Sir Igor and Francess Lowe. Editing of the pictures to be used for the exhibit was done by the executive committee head, Andrew Guinto.

Aside from the reason that the photo shoot has been one of the long standing traditions for the UPLISSA month, the activity also became a bonding opportunity for the members amidst the high time for academics. (Vanity in each of the members and applicants were also expressedJ.)
