The soft launch of “The Lib Code” was held last August 17 at the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UPSLIS) in Diliman, Quezon City.

Spearheaded by the UP Library and Information and Students’ Association (UPLISSA), in cooperation with SLIS@50, The Lib Code is a campaign that promotes librarianship as a growing, modern profession.  It aims to inform people on the importance of the roles of librarians in every day life. Maecy Espiritu, the Executive Director of the project presented the campaign in front of students, faculty and staff of the UP-SLIS and introduced the three-fold plan for its full implementation.
