A gathering that would allow students to learn about the latest trend in their field and network with fellow students from different schools and some of the country’s leading information professionals. It is hoped that the Congress would be a future platform for students to air out issues that face them and the world at-large and transform tough challenges into bright opportunities. Among the topics discussed were:

 

Promoting Libraries: Smarter Solutions by Ms. Salvacion Arlante, Head Librarian of the UP Main Library

The New BLIS Curriculum and Its Effects on Future Board Exams by Ms. Elnora Conti, Board for Librarians member

 Experiences as an LIS Exchange Student in Korea by Mr. Randolf Mariano, UPLISSA member

A Voyage in Public Libraries n Germany by Prof. Johann Frederick Cabbab, faculty of the UP SLIS

IBM for the New Decade by Mr. Alexis Pantola of IBM Phils.
